Blowing a gale, better keep warm then.

Today is another productive day on the woollen craft front!  I've finished a scarf for myself ready for the bitter cold days which are on their merry way.  The pattern was a free one from Ravelry by Amanda Perkinsit was easy and four days quick so I might be making a few more yet, a nice lace crochet stitch, like a fan, or an oyster.
I used some tweedy type wool which was actually not the best to use because it was so thin in parts that I had to tie or join it back together by rubbing/spinning it myself, so it doesn't look as neat as it could be, which is another reason that I thought it best to be a present for myself, I'm being kind.

Tonight I need to be searching for another project to distract myself away from my Herringbone Cowl Knit that is becoming a bit of a bore.  Of course, that's not true really, but I just want it to be finished all by itself, TADA, done, blocked and being worn type of thing.

My chair, just because I am so pleased that I own it/them

Happy end of Monday everyone!

  1. Girl, that scarf is so pretty. I really am not a teeny bit looking forward to these cold days coming up, but I guess with a scarf like that it's easier to face winter, not?

Anyways, thanks for stopping by. Gonna share autumn and winter pictures soon, 'kay?

Hope you are doing well? Also, I'm happy you are back to blogging. Here's to a happy week. xoxo.

  4. I love your scarf even if it doesn't look as neat as it could... I can't really see anything bad with it but I trust your judment on it. Is pretty, is not a pattern I had seen before, but I might think about making one!
